My reasons for starting this blog are threefold. 1: as a keepsake for the experiences I am about to have, 2: to hopefully provide some helpful tips & tricks to those reading it as I learn them and 3: purely for the love that I have for all things makeup, and the joy that discussing it brings me.
Ever since I was a little girl I have been fascinated with the seemingly glamorous world of makeup, models, photo shoots, movie sets and backstage fashion shows. Watching people create rainbows on people's faces has never failed to inspire and light a fire inside me that nothing else has. I spend countless hours reading books of famous MUAs (You must read Jemma Kidd Make-up Masterclass, I have several times thanks to The Love of Pink) and searching for photos of this season's backstage make-up action.
I am about to enter a world entirely different from the one I have spent my whole adult life in. I am trading in my law textbooks for makeup brushes. I will no longer be trying to interpret legislation, but trying to create the perfect red lip or smoky eye. This is a time for me to be selfish and follow a path that I have always wanted, yet never had the support or means to do so. And for that I must thank my wonderful better half who not only encouraged me to follow my dreams, but insisted I do so.
I never wanted to be a Lawyer. I wanted to be a Make-up Artist. And this is the start of that journey.
